The Northern Frontier Railway (NFR) has released official notification for filling of 56 vacancies in sportpersons. The notification released on September 16, 2025, and online application process will commence from September 16, 2025, and will close on 15 October 2025. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Levels 5 or 4 (GP Rs.2800/ 2400): Graduate or equivalent examination passed from recognized university/institution. For appointment against sports quota in Technician-III, the minimum educational qualification is class 10th pass. However, the training period for such sports quota appointees will be 03 (three) years, unless they pass/ possess ITI qualification in the relevant trade, in which case it will be 6 months.
• Levels 3 or 2 (GP Rs.2000/ 1900): Passed Class 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination from a Govt. recognized Board/Council/Institution.
• Level 1 (GP Rs.1800): Passed Class 10th (matriculation) or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Age Limit

• The age limit in this recruitment must between 18 -25 years as on 01-January-2026. No age relaxation is applicable in this quota.

Sports Achievements

• The sports person should be an active player currently and his/her achievements should be in the immediate previous two financial years. Sports achievements in recognized championships /events held on or after 01.04.2023 shall only be considered for appointment.
